A great delivery experience starts with a little planning. Taking a few minutes to prepare ahead of time helps ensure your materials are dropped exactly where you want and when you need them.
Choose a good dump location.
In a perfect world, a wide, open, firm surface like a driveway is ideal for most materials. Make sure the area is clear and accessible for our truck. It’s also important to check for overhead obstructions, such as power lines, tree branches, or roof overhangs, that could interfere with the dumping process. On the day of your delivery it is also important to move any vehicles that may be in the way of the delivery truck.
Mark the spot.
One of the easiest ways to show us where you’d like the material dumped is to place a 5-gallon bucket or similar item at the desired location. This helps our driver position the load accurately without any guesswork.
Protect surfaces when needed.
If you’re receiving color-enhanced mulch, placing a tarp on the ground before delivery is a great option. This helps keep driveways and hard surfaces clean.
Off-road deliveries.
In some situations, materials may need to be dumped in areas like a front or backyard instead of a firm surface. These off-road deliveries may be possible depending on the time of year, weather conditions, and site accessibility. For these deliveries, we require that you are present at the time of delivery to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Plan your timing.
Delivery time frames can vary based on our schedule and the season. In many cases, same-day delivery is available, and we may be able to offer a morning or afternoon window. As a rule of thumb, we recommend scheduling your delivery a day or two before you plan to use the material. This gives you flexibility if plans change.
