HAMMOND FARMS carries a wide variety of soils that may be used for many landscape and construction applications. We hope that this page will answer some of the more common questions concerning these products.

The following is a list of our bulk soils, their prices and a brief description of each item. All of the following materials are available in large quantities (45+ yards) at discounted prices! We can take care of your new construction site needs; just call us for quotes.

Pro-Soil

This is our most popular topsoil, as it can be used for nearly all landscape applications. This blended soil is a mixture of topsoil, black dirt and sand. It is screened to remove most stones and other debris commonly found in topsoil. We recommend this product for any type of lawn, grading or planting work.

Screened Topsoil

This is our new value priced topsoil. This screened top soil is comprised from soil that has been screened to create a workable product.

Blended Compost

This is a blend of compost and our screened topsoil (prosoil). It is a very rich mixture that is excellent for flowerbeds and gardens. Unlike straight compost, this material does not have to be worked into existing soil.

Finished Compost

This material is composted and screened grass clippings, leaves and brush which make an excellent soil amendment. Finished compost should be worked into the existing soil for best results.

Unscreened Topsoil

This is a topsoil that has not been screened and may contain foreign materials like stones, clay, and roots.

Fill Dirt

This product consists of the materials removed from our screened soils and is primarily composed of rocks, clay and roots. This particular product is not recommended for applications other than filling deep holes.
