Flagstone is a term that describes natural stone products that can be used to create patios, walkways and stepping-stones. Flagstones are generally larger, smoother and more uniform than wallstone pieces made of the same materials. The area that one ton of flagstone will cover varies from stone to stone, based on the thickness and density of the stone and the spacing between stones. The term patio is used to describe the size of individual pieces generally ranging from 8" -24" in length, while the term select refers to pieces that range from 24" - 42".  Please see a sales associate today!

• Autumn Gold (patio)
  This gold quartzite has streaks of dark gold, gray with a silver white background. It is a very hard, flat and smooth quartzite with shiny micas on the split surfaces.  Thickness ranges from one to one and one half inches with one ton covering approximately 120 square feet.

  From brown to light buff in color, this sandstone material is a perfect complement to any landscape project. Thickness ranges from two to three inches with on ton covering approximately 75 square feet.

  This Canadian product is a smooth limestone, with colors ranging from off white to dark gray. Thickness of this stone ranges from three quarters to an inch and a half and will cover up to 120 square feet per ton.

  The color of this material is a deep brick red with salmon accents. Cherokee Red is high integrity sandstone that is smooth, flat and very durable. Thickness ranges from one to two inches with one ton covering approximately 100 square feet.

  Chilton Flagstone is a multi colored stone with tones ranging from lavender to gray to rose. Pallets may contain rather large pieces that can range from two to four feet in size. Thickness ranges from one to two and one half inches with one ton covering approximately 75 square feet.

  This western sandstone has colors ranging from peach to rose to caramel. It is a very hard sandstone that is uncommonly uniform in thickness (one to two inches), with one ton covering approximately 100 square feet.

• Michigan Sandstone (patio)
  This native Michigan stone is generally tan in color and has a sandy texture.  Pieces are of random size and thickness, which can make a uniform finished product difficult to attain, and may require extra preparation to create a uniform look.

  This flagstone has a range of colors which includes grays, greens, browns and blues. The thicknesses of these stones range from one to two inches, with one ton covering up to 100 square feet per ton.

  This limestone is blue gray in color with lighter accents. Its thickness will vary depending upon which material you choose and coverage will be approximately 100 square feet per ton. This stone will usually range in size from 18" - 36" (flagstone) or  10"-18" (steppers)

  This high integrity sandstone ranges in color from light gray to chestnut brown with some black highlights throughout it.  Thicknesses range from one and one half inches to two inches with one ton covering approximately 90 square feet.

  This is a clean, cut flagstone of random square and rectangle shapes and sizes. This is a beautiful stone for formal areas and can be installed on a gravel sand base or mortared on concrete. The uniform straight edges make installation easy and scrap minimal. This product is sold by the square foot and is heat treated (thermal) to provide a very uniform surface.
